Our friend and former ATSU co-worker Lori, her mother, Joan, and Lori's daughter, Laurel, make three generations of strong, intelligent, and beautiful women.
Lori wanted a generational portrait that was simple, elegant, and timeless. We captured these shots just before we left for Christmas break.

Allison Phillips | newborn session
We like our newborns to be asleep during their session, but Allison was afraid she might miss something. She was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the whole thing.
Allison's mom is Christa Phillips (dad is Andy Phillips). Christa an OB Nurse at Northeast Regional Medical Center. She was so laid back about me contorting her daughter for some of our poses. "Babies aren't all that brittle," Christa said. "In fact, they're pretty flexible. They're used to being bound up in a ball."
This first shot makes me laugh and tear up at the same time! It's like I caught her in the middle of singing a high note. Love, love love it!
In the last picture where Allison is laying on a tree stump, the green scarf was made by our 8-year-old friend, Bennett! It worked perfectly! Thanks again, Bennett!

Colin Gibbson | newborn session
OMG! Only 16 days-old and Colin is already sticking his tongue out at us. I can only imagine what he'll be doing when he turns one! LOL! Simply Adorable. Colin came into the world weighing 9 lbs 8 oz.

Darling Family
Large family sessions freak me out a little bit because I never know what to expect. But the Darling family was the exception! All the kids were polite and well-behaved, which made the session a breeze.
Here are some of my favorties.

Jennifer H. | 2010 Milan HS Senior
Despite the frigid temperatures and the snow, Jennifer H still wanted to take some of her senior portraits outside.

Isaac & Adrian Briggs | newborn session
Isaac & Adrian Briggs came into this world through In Vitro Fertilization. Tisha and Dave have a blog about their journey. Here's a snippet from Tisha a few days after giving birth.
"It was a long road to get Adrian and Isaac, but I would go through every bit of it again. They are perfect. I never knew I could love like this. I have so many hopes and dreams for them. I am so glad that Dave and I never gave up. We struggled through trying to get pregnant for 3 years, spent thousands and thousands of dollars and shed millions of tears on fertility treatments, and we both suffered through a very difficult pregnancy and an even worse birth. I am glad that we realized it would be worth it. I guess I never realized the reward would be so great. I feel like we are the two most blessed people on earth."
Here is a link to their newborn slideshow.

Dakota D. | KHS 2010 Senior
It was the coldest day in the week but that wasn't going to stop Dakota or I from heading outside for his senior portraits.
Of course that day, I left my jacket and gloves at home. However, that wasn't too bad compared to Dakota taking his shirt off for a few shots! He's such a rebel!

Photo into Fine Art
With the help of computer programs and the finessing hand of our graphic artist, Michelle Mozingo, our photographs take a life all their own.
Here is the actual photograph of our client Christy and her daughter Madison.
This is the image as a Fine Art Watercolor. Very cool and very timeless.

Isaac & Adrian Briggs | newborn session
I simply couldn't wait to share these images with the world! Last year, I came across the baby art of photographer Carrie Sandoval in San Diego, CA. To say that she is an amazing photographer would be an understatement. She is pure genius! Her newborn photographs are filled with such emotion. If you have time, take a look at her website. It will make you want to have a baby of your own!
Hmm.Hmm.Hmm. John. Let's talk.
I began to study Carrie's techniques. I was determined to learn how to safely and creatively use fabric to suspend a baby in the air. I practiced and practiced with dolls with little success. But nearly a year later, I have conquered the technique.
First up...the Briggs twins. Isaac and Adrian came into the world November 12, a little premature and had to spend 12 days in the hospital. As soon as they were well, Tisha and Dave brought them to the studio.
On Monday, Adrian weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz. and Isaac weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. I think this first photograph illustrates their size difference perfectly:)
Thank you Tisha and Dave for trusting me with your new children. I am blessed and honored to have met them.
