Alia Puckett | children's session

Grandma Puckett (Anna) is smitten with her granddaughter, Alia...and who wouldn't be? Just look at those big hazel eyes and that curly hair!

When we put Alia's foot on top of the dance bar...she started wiggling it and laughing. The moment was truly priceless!

Gretchen & Justin | e-session

Gretchen Stiefel and Justin Rimel are getting married in Macon next year. All the wedding plans are coming together well, but if they weren't...Gretchen wouldn't sweat it.

These two lovebirds are very laidback, which makes for some amazing candid moments. Here are some of my favorites.

Elmore Kiddos | Mason-Maren-Mabry

Mason, Maren and Mabry...try saying that three time fast! To say that raising three children is a full-time job would be an understatement. After only an hour of playing around outside with these three musketeers, I was tuckered!

But the cutest moment happened as we wrapped up our session. Maren and Mabry decided to redecorate my camera room. They moved chairs and rearranged backdrops. They had it all figured out for me. In the meantime, Mason was trying on my Afro wig and flashing his gangsta signs. They were a riot!

Thanks Suzanne for sharing your little rug-rats with me. It was a blast!

Jennie W. | Trenton HS Senior 2010

Jennie and her Golden Retriever, Mattie, came to see us all the way from Trenton, MO for her senior portraits.

Here are some of my favorite shots.

Maag Girls

OMG, OMG, O!M!G! During our session with the Maag girls, Sophie and Delaney, I didn't have a lot of time to check the images on the back of the camera. The girls were moving so fast, and I was just trying to keep up.

Back at the studio, I started downloading the images and realized what little angels I had captured.

The first picture makes the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Delaney's hair, their expressions, the sunlight filtering through the trees. It all came together perfectly. What's so weird is that I don't even remember shooting it.

I feel so blessed, so lucky, so indebted to our clients for allowing me to do what I love. Thanks Karrie and Donnie for allowing me to be a part of your family!

Tristan L. | 2010 Senior Knox Co. HS

Tristan had a special request during his senior session. He brought a picture of his brother, Tyler, who died earlier this year in a car accident near Edina.

Tristan's mother, Tina, said she didn't have a picture of her two sons together as teenagers and pleaded with me to find a way to put them together in one shot.

Thanks to Photoshop, I was able to use Tyler's picture and make it look like it was spray painted on a wall next to Tristan.

Here are some of my favorite shots from our session with Tristan.

Gabriela M. | KHS Senior 2010

Gabriela has amazing skin! It's like caramel! And that hair...thick and shiny! At times it felt like I was shooting a Pantene shampoo ad.

Here are some of my favorite shots.

Trevor R. | Senior 2010 Ottumwa HS

All the way from the Hawkeye State, Trevor kept his senior session quick and simple.

Here are some of my favorite shots.

Jason I. | Senior 2010 Knox Co. HS

Jason wanted some shots in a swimming pool because, as a lifeguard, that's where he spends a lot of his free time.

Well, as luck would have it, the Kirksville Aquatic Center and the Kirksville Country Club had already drained their pools for winter. So, I scrambled at the last minute to find an outdoor in-ground pool.

John calls a friend of a friend of a friend, and behold we have a pool! Thanks Mary Jo Schwend for allowing us to use your pool and the Schwend kids for helping me pull back the pool cover.

Here are some of my favorite shots.

Bryant Western | birthday session

Most one-year-olds stay happy and content for about 15-20 minutes during a photo shoot. But Bryant lasted a whole hour and went through 7 wardrobe changes happy as a clam!

Here are some of my favorite shots.
