Taylor Swift | Houston Texas

This past weekend we flew down to Texas to see Taylor Swift in concert with our nieces, Chanti, Ali and my sister Norma. The crowd of 42,000 people at Minute Maid Park was electrifying. To see their faces light up when Taylor hit the stage was simply priceless. I couldn't help but tear up thinking about the impact this one night is going to have on the trajectory of their lives.

Romeo, Chanti & Ali | Galveston, Texas

On our trip to Texas, we took my nieces, Chanti and Ali, and my nephew Romeo to the warehouse district in Galveston for a photo shoot. We don't get to see them often, so we spoil them rotten when we visit. Here are some of my favorite shots from their session.

Foxy Cleopatra! a.k.a. Ali P.

OMG! I am haunted by this first portrait of our friend and client, Ali. I love the Afro, the earrings, the attitude. I freakin' LOVE IT ALL! Way to rock it out, Ali!

Ali is one of our 2009 seniors from Knox County High School. This session is for her model portfolio, and we were honored to be a part of it.

Ali, don't forget about me when you're walking the runways of Milan, Italy not Missouri!

My Girls

These little nuggets are my nieces Chanti (gold wrap) and Ali (black wrap) from Texas. They and the rest of my family came to visit for a few days. While they were here, I took the opportunity to try out some of my ideas for studio shots!

The black and white backdrop is new and will be a staple of Studio 1004! And get this...I got a red and tan one too!
