Ali Pipta | Model

Our friend Ali Pipta is auditioning for the next season of America's Next Top Model. To give her portfolio a boost and celebrate her birthday, she booked a model session.

We first met Ali two years ago during her senior session. She was a doll then and continues to be sweet as pie! Good luck Ali on your audition! You will do great!

Thank you Claudia, Glam it up! Salon, for the hair and makeup!

Blake & Allison | Circus Monkey

Our niece and nephew, Blake and Allison, came up from Kansas City to spend their Spring Break with us. They, along with our niece, Tanna, love to perform. So, they twisted my arm to produce something for youtube.

Beatrice & Eloise | Children's Session

Little Eloise is in love with her new baby sister, Beatrice. She can snuggle, hug, kiss, and love on her all day long. All that lovin' got Beatrice a little cranky but when Eloise gave her some room and her dad started talking...Beatrice was all grins!

As you might imagine, Eloise felt a little left out so we made her feel really special when we gave her a tutu to wear and turned on our super fabulous model fan!

Here are some of my favorite shots.

WPPI Convention | Las Vegas

Every year, thousands of photographers from all over the world come to the largest photography convention and expo in Las Vegas. For the past 30 years, WPPI has been the place to be inspired and grow your photography skills. But for us, our first visit wasn't so great.

There were more than 14,000 people attending, and it seemed that everyone was trying to get into the same workshops. We learned that the hard way, when we stood in line for two hours only to find out that the session was already full. Then when the doors opened for a workshop, people would charge in like the running of the bulls in Pamplona!

But in the end, we caught up with friends and met some new friends along the way!

Here are some of my favorite shots.

Morgan Carnes | Miss Kansas City Outstanding Teen

Morgan competed in a regional portion of the Miss America® Pageant and won the title of Miss Kansas City Outstanding Teen two weeks ago. The win came as a big surprise to her mother Joyce and to her. With the new title comes a laundry list of requirements for future competitions...one of which is professional head and shoulder shots.

We got some "traditional" shots with her crown...but we also did some artsy fartsy stuff.

This is one of my favorites! The moment I saw the shot on the back of the camera...I squeeled! OMG,OMG! We got it! Morgan and her mother giggled at my reaction but when I showed them the shot...they got a little giddy too!

Megan Kinney | Watch Me Grow

Megan is now 9 months and has developed quite the personality! Every time we sat her down, she would take off one of her shoes. We'd put it back on. And she'd take it back off. After a while, she caught on to our little game and got mad.

She screamed at the top of her lungs when Kristen took the shoe away. The only thing that would satisfy her was her black shoe. She chewed on it like a puppy does a new toy. I could see Kristen cringing as I keep shooting, but I knew these were going to be some of my favorite shots. And after seeing them, Kristen did too!

Here are some of my favorite shots and the link to her slideshow.
