Lexie Schuermann | newborn session

Born March 7, Lexie came into the world weighing 7lbs, 7oz.

After getting her belly full, Lexie was out like a light! Just like I like them because they are easy to position and curl.

In order to get babies to fall asleep, stay asleep, and curl like little balls, the room has to be very warm. The problem is that I'm hot natured. So, it didn't take long before I was sweating like like a hooker in church!

Anyhoot, here are some of my favorites. I'll post more next week along with the slideshow. Lexie's dad wasn't able to make today's session because of work. So, we'll get to see them all hopefully next week.

Urban Blake & Allison

As you can imagine, wrangling two 7-year-olds was quite a daunting task. I swear their attention span is less than five seconds. Then, Blake has a bladder the size of a thimble...just like his Uncle John! Can't take a road trip without 15 stops!

Anyhoot, the funniest part of our day was when Allison had to empty her bladder, but there was no restroom in sight. So, like a country girl at heart, she hid behind a tree, dropped down and took care of business. Blake fell to his knees laughing hysterically, which lead me to start laughing hysterically. I tell you what, that's what memories are made of!

After our session, John and I took them to McDonald's for dinner. They had worked up such an appetite being models that they ate ALL of their food! Even Blake said, "I've never finished my Happy Meal before!"

Here are some of my favorite shots and the link to their slideshow.

Kaylen Sanborn | Miss Kirksville

After winning the crown at the Miss Kirksville Pageant, Kaylen Sanborn was in need of new head shots for the Miss Missouri Pageant in Mexico, Missouri, June 6.

The headshots are given to the judges and are also printed in the program.

Blake & Allison

I'm so freaking excited about the warm weather and getting behind the camera outside once again! Winter was too long.

Anyhoot, Jana, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what's to come! I'm about to go cross-eyed at the computer, and it's past midnight. So, I'd better get to bed!

I can't wait to post the rest tomorrow evening! You are just going to die!

Kinney Family

Our friends, Kristen and Adam Kinney, are expecting a baby girl in June. They came over with their two little boys this weekend for a family/pregnancy session.

Kristen had some reservations about showing her belly bump...but she warmed up to the idea once we described the shots to her.

Here are some of my favorites and the link to their slideshow.

PS: The blogger image uploader is having issues. I'll post more of my favorites later.

Funky Kitty

From a hike through the woods at Thousand Hills State Park to a commercial shoot, it was a fun-filled weekend with kids. Blake and Allison, our twin niece and nephew, are here from Kansas City for spring break. So, we took them and our niece, Tanna, for a hike to burn up some of their energy. By the end, we were all covered in mud.

Before we dropped them off at Grandma's house, we stopped at our house to wash shoes, socks, and pants. To pass the time, we decided to produce a little commercial with the kids.

Howdy!

Just wanted to let you all know that your not imagining things..but it has been a while since I've posted any new pictures.

I've taken some time off from photographing this week in order to work on our new price list and marketing campaign for 2009. Believe me...I'm ready to get behind the camera and away from the computer for a while.

Make sure you check back next week for some new shots. I've got some sessions this weekend and next week lined up and will have samples for you to see.

Have a great weekend and thanks for all your support!
xoxo

Selma Grace Waddington

This little bundle of joy came into the world at 7 lbs. 8 ounces on February 18. "She sleeps well," said her mother Erica, but the day of her session, she was bright eyed and bushy tailed! We tried to rock her and feed her but nothing.

Photographing babies in the nude is always risky business. And little Selma didn't disappoint. As we were moving her from one set to another, she had a small bowel movement on Erica's blouse and our floor. Erica and I busted out laughing! "I'm so sorry," said Erica. "Don't worry about it," I said. "That's what babies do."

I'm two for two with newborns and accidents, and I've got another little one coming next week. Let's see if we can make it three!

Here are some of my favorites and the link to her slideshow.

New Wedding Website

OMG! It's nearly 2 a.m., and I am so freakin' excited about our new wedding website. It's been a labor of love and hate! Love because it has the look and feel that I wanted. Hate because I've had to learn so much geeky technical stuff! My head hurts!

Anyhoot, once you take a look, you will notice we have made some MAJOR adjustments...like offering three packages for any "fabulous" lifestyle.

Now, all I have to do is finish up our babies, children, and family website, and I'll finally be able to get from behind this computer and get behind a camera!

Samantha Caraway | Pageant Hopeful

Samantha has big dreams for herself, and we are sure she'll make them come true one of these days. Just remember me, Sam, when you get ready to shoot your first album cover!

Samantha and her mother, Angela, stopped by last week to get a few new pageant head shots for Samantha's portfolio.

Here are some of my favorites.
