The Studio
After getting my camera back from the shop for an error code...I was finally able to shoot in the studio. It was cold and getting dark...but the natural light was amazing. Here are a few shots from that cold winters night.

Jodie and Lee
Our best friends Jodie and Lee are getting married! It's been in the works for a while but now it's a done deal. They chose us to shoot their engagement photos. Of course, the weekend we shoot the weather was crappy. So, instead of shooting in the studio, I asked them to come to the house. We turned the living room, dining room, and sun room into sets. I had a few issues with my strobes but for the most part the shoot went well. Once Spring rolls around, well get some outside shots too.
Wedding Expo
John and I participated in our first ever wedding expo on Sunday. It was a small gathering at the Silver Rails Event Center in La Plata, Missouri, but a successful one. We already have 4 weddings booked for 2008! Amazing given the fact that we have only taken our skills public in the last six months.
Hello World
We're excited about Studio 1004!
Although we are only now opening the studio, the seed was planted nearly ten years ago. You see, I got my first job out of college as a reporter for KWES in Midland, Texas. My second day on the job, I was sent to cover a murder. There was no photographer to be found, even though I was told I would have one.
I arrived at the scene, shot some video, grabbed an interview with the sheriff, and rushed back to the station to make the ten-o-clock news. The next day, the chief photographer, Ben asked, "Who shot your story last night." No one. I shot it myself. "Wow, that was really good video. You should be a photographer instead of a reporter." Bitch please! This face has to be in front of the camera not behind it. Besides, photographers get no respect, and don't get paid enough.
Boy was I wrong, young, and dumb. It may have taken me ten years to find my true calling but I'm glad I did. For the past six months, I eat, breathe, and sleep, photography. I can't get enough. Everywhere I look I see a potential shot.
