Ian & Ainsley W.

Brothers and sisters sometimes they can be like oil and water...but not Ian and Ainsley. No one can make her smile quite like brother. Now getting Ian to smile is another story. But after a little bribing he lit up like a Christmas tree!

Channing Grace M. | newborn

Channing Grace came into the world weighing 7lbs 6oz with a head full of hair. Her mom, Rachel Hettinger Malen and her big sis Bailey were so glad to meet her.

Like with all newborn sessions, little Channing didn't disapoint when toward the end of her photo shoot she decided to poop all over her mom! LOL! My gag reflex went into action as we scrambled to find the wipes. That kind of stuff just comes with the territory.

Korbin K. | newborn

Spring is here and not only are the trees and flowers blooming but so are the babies!
Korbin was a little cranky when we started shooting...but when he fell asleep he was out like a light bulb!

Here are some of my favorites.

Brenna & Josh Newman | wedding

Josh would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Brenna has the grace, beauty and heart of an angel. They found each other through the online dating service eHarmony in February 2010. Josh is training to earn his wings for the US Air Force in Del Rio, Texas while Brenna lives here in Kirksville with her parents. Despite the physical distance their hearts grew closer. So, after weeks of long distance dating, they decided to meet face to face in Saint Louis. After meeting, they both realized their relationship was meant to be. Josh proposed 7 months later...5 months after the proposal they are officially husband and wife.

Here are the highlights from their magical wedding day.

Tutus & Ties

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you parents for making this years Tutus & Ties™ event a huge success! As you can see some of our young guys opted for hats instead of ties and some of our girls went with ties instead of tutus...and I say why not! Here are some of our favorite shots.

AEDs save lives

On behalf of all our clients, John and I sponsored an AED device on the A.T. Still University Campus. An AED is an electronic device designed to deliver an electric shock to a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.

Did you know approximately 890 people die from coronary heart disease outside of the hospital or emergency room every day. Most of these deaths are due to the sudden loss of heart function or sudden cardiac death.

A number of these victims, up to 60 percent, might have been saved if automated external defibrillators (AEDs) were immediately available. Chances of survival from sudden cardiac death diminish by 7 – 10 percent for each minute without immediate CPR or defibrillation. After 10 minutes, resuscitation rarely succeeds.

Mariah S. | KHS Senior 2011

Mariah is tall, funny, and gorgeous! We lucked out during her session that we had snow on the ground...which she really wanted. May will be here before you know it and she's heading off to warmer weather in Cajun country (louisiana) for college at LSU!
