Male Models | Dustin & Jake

Over my winter break, I called on Dustin and Jake to stand in as models for some test shots at the studio. I would like to enter one of the shots into the PPA International Photographic Competition. The entry fee is expensive so, I can only enter one shot but, I simply can't decide.

Saint Louis

So, we headed out to STL (Saint Louis) this weekend to celebrate our friend Tyler's birthday...but I also took the time to take some new shots of our friend Dustin.

As we were leaving the Renaissance Hotel...I spotted this classic Rolls Royce and thought it would make a great shot! I liked the shot in color...but then I tweaked it in black and white and fell in love! What a sweet ride. I'm sure that car would make an amazing backdrop for a bride and groom. I hope someday I get that chance.

The next shot was the main entrance to a bar next to a the King and I Thai Restaurant were we had lunch. There were so many cool places. The alley was actually more like a walkway between two buildings. The way the sunlight hits the background and bounces in makes me all warm and tingly inside!

Friendly Friends

I am so lucky to have such good friends! Chrissy Hunt came out to the Studio to do hair and make-up for one of our senior sessions. But before she left, I got her to pose for me too!

I wanted Chrissy's make-up to be over-the-top and I wanted her eyes very smokey.
"Oh, you want me to look like a whore," she said. I laughed till I cried. She said it with such a straight face! I said, "No, I want you to look high fashion!" I think we landed somewhere in between.

Then our friends Logan and Dustin came over to watch a movie...but before the big show...I had them pose too!
